Image resizer + AI reframe
Resize any PNG, JPEG, or WebP in your browser, or expand to a new aspect ratio with Ideogram V3 — which paints plausible new content around the edges instead of stretching your image.
Resize vs Reframe
- Resize changes the pixel dimensions of your image. Downscaling is high quality and instant; upscaling can't invent detail the original didn't have.
- Reframe (AI) keeps your original image and extends it outward to fit a new canvas. Use this when you need a different aspect ratio without cropping or squishing — for example, a square product shot that needs to become a 16:9 banner.
How resizing works here
The resize mode runs entirely in your browser using a stepped downscale — each halving produces a sharper result than a single pass. Your image never leaves the tab. You can pick the output format (PNG for lossless, JPEG or WebP for smaller files with adjustable quality) and use presets for common destinations like Instagram, OG, Pinterest, and favicons.
How reframe works
Reframe uploads your image to fal.ai's Ideogram V3 endpoint with your chosen canvas size. The model generates new pixels around your original to fill the new frame. Speed tiers trade cost for quality: Fast ($0.03), Balanced ($0.06), Quality ($0.09) per generation.
